Save Point Cartwright!!

Please Help Us Save Point Cartwright

There is so much that is unique and special about the Point Cartwright Reserve.

Point Cartwright is at serious risk of developing into a recreational free-for-all, compromising what we all love and treasure about it.

Everyone loves Point Cartwright Reserve, but it’s at risk of losing its character and natural amenity. Please take a few minutes to help us protect and preserve what is important to us all.

Please take a few minutes to make your voice heard about the future of Point Cartwright Reserve in Council’s community survey which closes Sunday 9th January 2022!! You have JUST 1 DAY LEFT to have your say on Council’s survey!!!

If we don’t protect the natural environment at Point Cartwright, we will lose what makes the reserve so special to so many people.

Not only does the site have a wonderful mix of rocky shores, migrating birds, littoral rainforest (now rare on the coastline), and riverine habitats, but it is home to many species of birds and the beaches are one the largest nesting areas for endangered loggerhead turtles on the Sunshine Coast.

  • We must ensure Point Cartwright Reserve remains a natural environment for future generations to enjoy.
  • Save the natural landscape
  • Save the clean and natural beach
  • Save the littoral rainforest – now RARE along our coastline
  • Save the migrating shorebirds & turtle habitats
  • Save the rocky shores for our marine life
  • Save the crystal clear, clean waters from recreational over development

Please take a few minutes to help us protect and preserve what is important to us all. Council’s survey is at the following link. Survey closes Sunday 9th at midnight.
